What is it?
The Brand Book is an online document that’s automatically created after you’ve made your logo, and its content is unique to your brand. It provides important information about your brand, including details about spacing, logo variations, best logo sizes, complementary fonts, primary and complementary colors, correct background usage, and information about resizing your logo.
The document also comes with mockups with examples of your logo used in both online and offline branding, so you can always refer back to it if you want to know how your logo will look on various merchandise.
Why do I need it?
As you develop your brand, you’ll have to know exactly how to create a cohesive experience for your audience. Consistent branding helps to create a positive customer association with your brand, because your audience learns to trust that your brand delivers on its promises.
Yet, many businesses have difficulty keeping their branding consistent, which often sabotages their relationship with their customers. Your Brand Book is the perfect solution – an online document that outlines a style guide for your specific brand, that’s based around your logo! You’ll have all the information you need to brand in a consistent way, and let others know how to interact with your brand as well.
Because your Brand Book comes in an online, shareable format, you can easily sync with employees and freelancers, to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the acceptable visual messages for your brand to put out into the world.
Where do I find it?
Go into your My Brand page.
Under “Brand Assets,” you’ll see your Brand Book, right in the middle of the asset row. Click on it!
You have now opened your Brand Book. The first page you see should have your logo at the top and look something like this:
You can edit the first page of your Brand Book if you wish, by entering information about your business.
If you want to show your Brand Book to others, like employees or even the public, you can get a shareable link on the second page of the document.
Scroll down to where it says “Publish This Brand Book Online.”
Click the red Publish button, and your Brand Book will reload with a link.
