Video Creator

About The Position

Tailor Brands helps first-time business owners form their business, stay compliant, and grow with confidence. With AI guidance, funding support, and a risk-free start, we make success simple.

Our main growth driver is performance marketing at scale. Discovery channels play the most important part of our growth, where we are able to tell our story, and the complete suit of products we have to offer our customers. Discovery has the highest spend and best LTV/CAC of all channels, making it the most strategic one for Tailor Brands.

The Role

We’re looking for a Video Creator – Brand & Performance who wants to make a lot of things, intentionally.

This is not a “once a month we shoot a hero video” job.

This is a “I’ve got three new hooks to test by tomorrow” job.

You’ll:

  • Come up with concepts
  • Turn them into scripts
  • Shoot them (sometimes yourself or with internal talent)
  • Cut a strong edit
  • Iterate based on performance

Most of your time will be spent on fast, scrappy, performance-driven ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. On top of that, you’ll occasionally help craft the more polished brand pieces – the things that make small business owners actually feel something about Tailor Brands.

You’ll be working closely with our Creative Director, senior video creator, and designers in a small in-house studio that ships dozens of deliverables a week. It’s fun – and very much not a place to dilly-dally.

If you’re equal parts creator, director, and doer, and you’re comfortable being both behind the camera and in front of it, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Ship new video ads every week- Ideate, script, and create a constant flow of short-form video concepts that are native to TikTok/Meta/YouTube and are built to stop the scroll and drive action.
  • Own production for your ideas –Plan, shoot, and assemble first cuts – from quick UGC-style pieces you shoot on a phone, to more planned setups with talent, locations, and props.
  • Jump on camera when needed- Act, host, or “play the customer” when it helps the creative, and direct others (team members, UGC creators, freelancers) to get natural, convincing performances.
  • Work on the “cherry on top” brand work- Create bigger, more produced brand pieces- launch films, story-driven creatives, mini-docs – from idea to shoot days to edit.
  • Turn data into better ideas- Work with the acquisition team to understand what’s performing and why. Use results to refine hooks, angles, lengths, and formats instead of guessing.
  • Use AI as a force multiplier- Lean on AI tools for scripting, ideation, storyboards, and variations so you can move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Protect pace without killing quality- Balance speed with standards: you know when “good enough today” beats “perfect next month,” and when a piece needs that extra pass to really land.

Requirements

Who you are

  • You have 3+ years of experience creating video for digital-first brands, agencies, or as a creator with regular client work.
  • Your portfolio shows short-form content (Reels/TikToks/Stories/Shorts/ads), not just long narrative or cinematic spec work.
  • You can ideate → script → shoot → edit on your own. You don’t need a full crew to bring an idea to life.
  • You’re comfortable on camera. You don’t have to be an actor, but you’re not shy and you can carry a simple concept yourself when needed.
  • You understand the difference between a nice video and a video that makes people click, sign up, or buy.
  • You’re used to working on multiple ideas in parallel, and you don’t get precious about killing concepts that don’t perform.
  • You can take feedback quickly, adjust, and send a new version without turning it into a drama.

Bonus points

  • You’ve created ads specifically for performance (DR campaigns, A/B tests, etc.).
  • You’ve worked with, or as, UGC creators – sourcing, briefing, or directing them.
  • You have some experience on more produced sets (studio days, multi-camera, narrative spots).
  • You’ve played with AI tools for content creation (scripts, images, video, editing).
  • You have a soft spot for branding and storytelling, not just pure DR.

What you can expect

  • A studio where your work actually gets shipped and tested, not parked in a deck.
  • A team that cares about both performance and taste.
  • A role where “fun” concepts and experiments are welcome – as long as they get out the door.

If this sounds like you, send us your portfolio asap.
