
Emma Siegel is a writer and TV news producer whose work spans broadcast news, magazine editing, and feature writing. Her range runs from breaking-news scripts to long-form features. She is an SEO professional that has worked for Tailor Brands, managing business content and optimizing for organic search results.
At i24NEWS, an international news channel, she rose from intern to producer between 2022 and 2025. She wrote scripts and produced video news packages on Middle Eastern and global affairs, and produced live broadcasts, including the channel’s flagship evening show.
As managing editor of Youth Mind Magazine, Emma led an editorial team of 12, edited full issues, and wrote the magazine’s Letter from the Editor. She also wrote features for the magazine, including a piece on what the pandemic revealed about overtourism. For The Newcomer, she wrote practical guides and profiles for people new to Canada, from getting through a first Canadian winter to the stories behind the faces on Canadian money. She also covered the National Women’s Hockey League for The Sports Shot.
As co-editor-in-chief of Emerge Magazine, she led a team of nearly 100 students and contributed the feature “The Tipping Point.” That issue won a Gold Crown Award and a first-place Gold Circle Award for headline writing.
Emma holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Media Communications from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, earned through the joint University of Guelph-Humber journalism program.
