Additional things to know about filing your Trade Name Application
- If you need your application expedited, it will cost an additional $25
- If you file online, and it appears that your filing will require review, you will receive a message on the last screen letting you know that. The review process typically takes two to three weeks. If the application is approved, you will receive an email asking you to pay the filing fee
- If your online application is rejected, you will receive an email explaining the rejection reasons. If that happens, you must complete a new online application with the requested corrections and resubmit the application
- Once your application is approved, you will receive a “Certificate of Registration”
- An approved and registered trade name is good for five years
